Fire Accident


HSE PEPTALK ON FIRE ACCIDENT (LEARNING FROM INCIDENTS)
Fire needs fuel, oxygen and heat in order to burn. Absence of any of these, automatically extinguishes it.
Probable causes of the fire?
 heated cables
 sparks
 wrong connections
 faulty electronic gadgets
 partial contacts
Consequences of Accident: The consequences are categorized into the following:
Injury:
 Fatality: death of a personnel, visitor, vendor
 Loss Time: discontinuation of normal work activities
 First Aid: immediate medical attention given
 Medical Treatment: evacuated to clinic
 No Injury: no pain inflicted
Persons Affected:

 Customer : receiver of finished product…SPDC, MOBIL, TOTAL, others
